The Gainsborough (West Lindsey) Growth Point will be formally confirmed following a partial review of the Regained plan (currently underway). This proposes the creation of three new, fully integrated and sustainable neighbourhoods. The proposed neighbourhoods are named Southern, Eastern and Northern.

It is the Southern Neighbourhood which is the subject of a planning application, now submitted to West Lindsey District Council.

The Southern Neighbourhood has been designed to support the objectives of the Growth Point whilst retaining the scope of the original regional plan. The proposed Masterplan for all three neighbourhoods shows how these will relate to each other and the rest of Gainsborough.

Outline planning consent granted
West Lindsey District Council Planning Committee has approved Thonock and Somerby Estates' proposals for a large urban extension to the market town of Gainsborough in Lincolnshire.
